Note: All European Calopteryx species have green or blue metallic colored males, except for Calopteryx haemorrhoidalis, which is red metallic. Hence the Dutch name: "koper" means "copper". Southern species, which occurs on the Iberian peninsula and Southern France, Northwest Italy and Southern Swiss.
