Note: There's only one Enallagma species in Europe, which makes the situation a whole lot easier than it is in the USA: there's loads of Enallagmas there, most of which look very much like each other (and like E. cyathigerum). Enallagma is ancient Greek and means "Confusion". After I've been in the USA and seen some American species, I can say that name is appropriate! Now I understand why most American odonatologists don't know the differences between even the local, common Enallagma species!
